Kodály Zoltán (1882–1967)
He is well known internationally as the creator of the Kodály Method.
According to his idea, the good musician's supplements can be summed up in four points:
1. cultivated listening,
2. cultivated intellect,
3. cultivated heart,
4. cultivated hand.
All four should evolve in parallel, in constant equilibrium. As soon as one of them goes down or advances, there is trouble. ... The first two points are taught by the solfege and its connected, intertwined, harmonious and format. Necessary addition: you will go for more versatile practical music activities: no chamber music or musicians will be a good musician.
