DANTONI Rebranding & packaging for a Hungarian artisan bonbon manufacture
DANTONI is a special, high quality artisan chocolate manufacturer established in 2017 and based near Budapest. DANTONI is a combination of luxury and originality. Each bonbon is created with the utmost care, so only perfect quality goods leave the gates of their workshop. In 2020 following their international achievements, -winning several awards - the company management decided that brand identity and product packaging should also be raised to a higher level corresponding to the values and commitment of the their company. I was thinking of a "contemporary Art Deco" style from the very beginning, which was also favoured by the owner. After that, the zellige came into my field of vision. It is a world of handmade glazed terracotta tiles based on hundreds of years of tradition. This style is also reflected in today's modern, luxurious tile designs. Due to its colourful, vibrant and handcrafted nature, the individual colours are unique and appear in many different shades. I captured this characteristic and during the design process of the brand identity the turquoise shades form the main part of the colour palette, where the gold borrowed from Art Deco transforms into a truly luxurious look.
